The Science of Success: Why MariMundo is Built on Gallup CliftonStrengths

When I founded MariMundo, I knew the foundation had to be something more than just "good advice." It needed to be rooted in something proven, positive, and transformative. That is why I chose the Gallup CliftonStrengths methodology as the heartbeat of everything we do.

My "Lightbulb" Moment

I first took the assessment myself in 2020 as part of a corporate team. What struck me immediately was the positive lens. Unlike performance conversations that focus on what is "wrong" with you, Gallup focuses on what is "right."

It doesn't just give you a list of talents; it provides a mirror. It helped me understand my unique power while simultaneously warning me about my blind spots. Those moments where a strength, if overused, can become a hurdle. Seeing my talents named for the first time felt like finally having the vocabulary to describe how I work best.

The Science Behind the Success

This isn't just a personality test; it is a rigorous, scientific instrument. Developed by Dr. Don Clifton, the assessment identifies your unique sequence of 34 themes.

How it works: The assessment measures the presence of talents within four domains: Strategic Thinking, Relationship Building, Influencing, and Executing. By focusing on your top talents, you aren't just improving; you are aiming for excellence. According to Gallup, people who use their strengths every day are six times more likely to be engaged in their jobs and three times more likely to report having an excellent quality of life.

Powering Your Personal Brand

Supporting people in creating their own local and online brands has always been a passion of mine. I’ve spent years providing LinkedIn training to teams and individuals, helping them stand out in a crowded digital world.

Now, that training is powered by Strengths. When you build a personal brand (online or offline) based on your natural talents, it becomes authentic and effortless. You aren't "selling" a version of yourself; you are leaning into the version of who you already are.

Transforming Teams and Preventing Burnout

In a team setting, knowing your strengths is a game-changer for managers and employees alike. We often forget that the task that drains you might actually energize your colleague. Leaning into each other’s strengths allows teams to:

  • Delegate effectively based on energy, not just job titles.

  • Increase productivity by working in a "flow state."

  • Prevent Burnout: When you spend your day doing what you are naturally good at, you are significantly less likely to experience burnout than if you are constantly struggling against your non-patterns.

The Secret to "Selling Yourself"

During my years interviewing candidates for large tech companies, my favorite question was always: "What gives you energy, and what drains it?"

At the time, I didn't realize I was instinctively searching for their strengths. Now, as a coach, I see how vital this is. When you do the assessment and work through an action plan with a coach, you gain the clarity to answer interview questions with confidence. You stop giving "standard" answers and start selling your actual value.

Strengths for the Local Community

I chose to become a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach because I want to bring this global standard to our local community. Whether it’s through 1-1 coaching, personal branding, or helping local companies in the Occidente region understand the talents already within their teams. I am here to help you build a brand that is built on the uniqueness you bring to this world.

Are you ready to name, claim, and aim your strengths?
